Ny Alliance

The New Alliance Party was a political party in Mexico from 2005 to 2018. Its creation was proposed by the Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educación, the largest trade union in Latin America, led by Elba Esther Gordillo, the controversial former general secretary of the Institutional Revolutionary Party.

The Humanist Party is a Mexican political party established in 2014 that was dissolved as a national party in 2015. However, it did manage to obtain the minimum number of votes in Mexico City, so its regional party was allowed to remain. The Humanist Party was a centralist party and defined itself as a “cross-organization without extremism,” . With its background in both conservative and liberal parties, it was able to embrace both sides, while keeping their pragmatic, agrarian views. The party was known to be pragmatic and wanted what was best for the nation. With agriculture as their main platform, the Humanists were seen looking to resources and weighing options; usually choosing the best option for the nation.

National Action Party

The National Action Party, founded in 1939, is a conservative political party in Mexico, one of the three main political parties in Mexico. Since the 1980s, it has been an important political party winning local, state, and national elections. The PAN has been linked to a conservative stance in Mexican politics since its inception, but the party does not consider itself a fundamentally conservative party. The party ideology, at least in principle, is that of "National Action" which rejects a fundamental adherence to left- or right-wing politics or policies, instead requiring the ado…  Læs mereption of such policies as correspond to the problems faced by the nation at any given moment. Thus both right- and left-wing policies may be considered equally carefully in formulation of national policy. This theory of National Action politics, rejecting a fundamental adherence to right or left, is held within a strongly Christian context, and falls under the umbrella of Christian democracy.[citation needed] The party theory was largely developed by early figures such as Gómez Morín and his associates. However, some observers consider the PAN claim to National Action politics to be weakened by the apparent persistent predominance of conservatism in PAN policy in practice. The PAN has similarities with Europe and Latin America’s Christian democratic parties.

National Regeneration Movement

The National Regeneration Movement, also known by its acronym MORENA, is a Cardenist and social-democratic political party in Mexico. MORENA describes itself as a democratic left-wing party which supports ethnic, religious, cultural and sexual diversity, respect for human rights and environmental care. It describes itself as an opponent to the neoliberal economic policies that Mexico has adopted since the 1980s. MORENA states that a new economic model is necessary because the neoliberal model failed in Mexico because it became a synonym with corruption, and the party supports "developmen…  Læs meret through private and social business, promoting market competition, but exercising State responsibility in the strategic activities which the Constitution states", and proposes "a model that strengthens the inner market, fair wages; a model that promotes syndical freedom and democracy, where the State doesn’t intervene in the inner affairs of the trade organizations".[citation needed] The party sets to stop the privatization of Pemex and the granting of lands to foreign mining companies who "devastate the lands, pay no taxes and harm the environment".[citation needed] MORENA also declares to be in favor of better treatment of the Indigenous peoples and to carry out the 1996 San Andrés Accords, which were signed by the EZLN and representatives of the Mexican government, but later rejected by then-President Ernesto Zedillo.[citation needed] The party states to be against the monopolization of the mass media, especially television, by Televisa and TV Azteca, which together own 90% of the Mexican television. Contrary to other parties of the left, MORENA has not sought to reduce inequality by increasing taxes on the wealthy. Instead, the party has focused on reducing the pay gap between lower-level employees and the extravagant high-level government workers salaries, such as politicians and judges (who make around 10–12 times more as of 2018) through willing austerity measures. They announced support for a plan by López Obrador to cut salaries of the higher-ranking public officials (including the President), lay off up to 70 percent of non-unionized federal workers, and reduce unnecessary spending by cracking down on corruption. As Article 94 of the Mexican Constitution prohibits reducing the salary of judges at any time during their appointment in order to maintain judicial independence, judges on the Supreme Court voluntarily took a 25% pay cut starting in 2019. Several judicial cases regarding the constitutionality of the plan were pending as of the beginning of 2019.

Parti Den Demokratiske Revolution

The Party of the Democratic Revolution is a social democratic political party in Mexico. The PRD originated from the Democratic Current, a political faction formed in 1986 from the PRI. The PRD believes that Mexico currently has major problems of economic and social inequality that halt social development and affect liberty and democratic coexistence.

The Labor Party is a political party in Mexico. It was founded on 8 December 1990. The party is currently led by Alberto Anaya.

Institutionelle Revolutionære Parti

The Institutional Revolutionary Party is a Mexican political party founded in 1929 that held uninterrupted power in the country for 71 years from 1929 to 2000, first as the National Revolutionary Party, then as the Party of the Mexican Revolution and finally as the PRI in 1946.

Økolog Grønne Parti Mexico

The Ecological Green Party of Mexico is a green-conservative political party in Mexico. In the 2012 Legislative elections, the party took 34 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and nine seats in the Senate.

Social Encounter Party

Social Encounter Party was a Mexican conservative political party established on the national level in 2014 and dissolved in 2018. It is part of the coalition Juntos Haremos Historia with the National Regeneration Movement and Mexico’s Labor Party for the 2018 Mexican election. The PES tends to include many strands of Christian humanist thought and is generally socially conservative, and Flores has stated that it is a "family" party. The Baja California state party uses a stylized ichthus in its logo, which is not used by the national organization. The party characterizes itse…  Læs merelf as the "party of the family". It opposes same-sex marriage and was responsible for reforms to the Baja California constitution in 2008 that established marriage as "between one man and one woman". In 2015, the PES gubernatorial candidate in the state of San Luis Potosí compared homosexuality to drug trafficking and violence. Likewise, it opposes abortion and pornographic magazines. Other proposals made by the PES include shifting the collection of value-added tax to the states instead of the federal government and consolidating it with income tax.
