Jordan has begun evacuating seriously ill children from Gaza, providing them with critical medical treatment unavailable in the conflict zone. This humanitarian initiative, first discussed between US President Donald Trump and Jordan's King Hussein, aims to help 2,000 sick children, though only a small number have been evacuated so far. Recent efforts saw four child cancer patients and their families transported to Jordan by the Jordan Armed Forces. The operation highlights both the dire medical needs in Gaza and the logistical challenges of fulfilling the commitment. The ongoing evacuations underscore international cooperation and the urgent need for medical aid in conflict-affected regions.
